Organics
Facts
As parents, we want our babies to be happy and healthy. An important
aspect of that means that we surround our babies with healthy products.
An equally important contributor to the wellbeing of our babies is maintaining
a healthy environment for our babies to enjoy when they grow up so that
they can experience the beauty of nature as we have experienced.
Baberoo
Organics strives to achieve both goals
by using certified organic materials that are grown using sustainable
agricultural methods and manufactured using environmentally friendly
processes.
One would ask, why is it
important to wear organic?
- We care about what we
eat because we know about the benefits of organic food. It is equally
important to be concerned about we wear because there is just as strong
a health correlation between organic clothing as there is for organic
foods. The simple fact is that cotton is one of the most chemical
intensive crops to grow. For every pound of cotton harvested, there
is 1/3 pound of chemical fertilizers and pesticides that went into
it. A lot of the chemicals stay in the fabric and are in direct contact
with our skin.
- At Baberoo, we have
strict standards on the materials that we use. We use only certified
organic cotton that contain no pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic
fertilizers, to ensure that the fabric that is in closest contact
with your baby’s skin is clean and pure.
One might also ask, “How
can one individual make a difference in the sustainability of our Earth?
- Did you know that conventional
cotton farming is one of the most environmentally destructive agricultural
activities? It takes a huge toll on the air, water, and soil and affects
the health of surrounding residents.
- The fact that you care
and are doing something is important. All we need is more parents
like you to care about supporting organic cotton. As the demand for
organic cotton grows, the need for conventional and genetically engineered
cotton will fade.
- Baberoo’s products
are manufactured using environmentally friendly processes. Our factories
meet independently verified Fair labor (non-sweatshop) standards.
We are doing our part to make a difference!
